PALMER -- Palmer Youth Baseball and Softball Association, which says it was established in 1958 and is the longest-running youth sports program in town, reports that registration is now closed across all of its age groups for the upcoming season.
YOUTH LEAGUES -- The association's website lists registration as closed for baseball grades 7/8, 5/6, and 2/3/4; softball grades 7/8/9, 5/6, and 2/3/4; the Coach-Pitch program for grades K-2; and the Instructional program for ages 3-5. The organization states that with the registration deadline passed, remaining team placements will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis rather than guaranteed. The association's stated mission is to promote youth baseball and softball in town "through the proper coaching of skills and strategies."
